In addition to the driving operation and vehicle conditions, such damage is mainly caused by the long-term failure to change the transmission oil. The owner mentioned that one of the gears in the gearbox had been broken more than a year ago. the gearbox was overhauled once. the gearbox was not long before it broke again.

During the first overhaul of the gearbox, the teeth were damaged due to long-term non oil change. Other undamaged gears seem to be safe, but in fact, the gear strength has been affected to a certain extent. The second bad tooth fault occurred after more than a year without changing the oil.
If the high and low gear bearings are damaged, the consequences are quite serious

During the overhaul, in addition to replacing the damaged 4th gear, the master also replaced the new high and low gear needle bearing the gearbox. XCMG said that the clearance between the high and low gears of the gearbox and the input shaft is very small, so the needle roller bearing with a relatively thin plastic cage is adopted.

Once these two bearings are damaged, it will bring a really bad situation: the input shaft kit, including a shaft, high gear teeth and a set of high and low gear synchronizer,the gearbox may be damaged, and the consequences are quite serious. If they are all replaced, the price is not low. Therefore, each overhaul must replace two brand-new high and low gear needle bearings.

ZF officially stated that the oil change cycle of the transmission is one year or 100000 km. XCMG said that according to the actual domestic vehicle situation, it is recommended to change the oil at about 80000 km, that is, generally, the engine is maintained twice and the transmission is changed once. ZF gearbox uses 80w90 gl-4 gear oil. Note that GL-5 cannot be used because the gear shift block of the transmission is copper, and the GL-5 oil contains additives such as manganese, which will damage the copper block the gearbox. A barrel of ZF special gear oil is 16L, 500 yuan, and about 400 yuan of non special oil is added in other places.
