Still Worried About The Truck Stalling Often? Seven Steps

Still Worried About The Truck Stalling Often Seven Steps

Stalling Often

Step 1: according to the owner’s description, when the vehicle is driving, sometimes step on the clutch or emergency brake, the car will automatically shut down, turn the key to off, and then restart the car. The car can start immediately, with good power and no impact Stalling Often.

Step 2: plug in the decoder and read the current fault with the decoder. The fault code is p0336 and the signal of crankshaft position sensor is not credible.

Step 3: start the fire in place, step on the brake or clutch, and the car does not stop. Then read the fault code again, and the fault code will be cleared automatically. Check the historical fault, and there is no historical fault stalling often.

  • Step 4: land the car in place, step on the accelerator with different opening degrees, and use the decoder to read the data flow of the car engine at different speeds. The actual rail pressure is selected by the decoder, the rail pressure sensor collects the voltage and the water temperature sensor voltage. When the actual rail pressure is stepped down, the rail pressure can reach more than 1600 (up to 2000), which shows that the rail pressure is normal when the engine is started. The voltage value read is also normal, and there is no place that can cause flameout stalling often.
  • Step 5: go out for a road test with the car after the in-situ test run fails to find out where the fault occurred. While the test run, connect the decoder and read the data stream with a diagnostic expert. At the moment of flameout, it can be seen that the crankshaft signal is offset and the signal is unreliable stalling often.
  • Step 6: remove the crankshaft sensor. When checking the crankshaft sensor, you can see some slight oil leakage from the crankshaft oil seal. Therefore, it can be concluded that during the movement of the engine, the crankshaft moves back and forth, resulting in the deviation of the driving signal plate, resulting in the unreliability of the crankshaft signal.

Step 7: replace the new crankshaft signal sensor and crankshaft oil seal. The car has been tested in place and on the road for many times, and there is no flameout again. The system is also normal with the decoder and there are no fault codes stalling often.

Tip: the crankshaft signal sensor signal is not credible, which will affect the synchronization and cause the intermittent flameout of the car. If conditions permit, the voltage waveform can be measured by oscilloscope. The correct voltage waveform is shown in the figure below stalling often:
