10-Gears Transmission Truck Gear Shift Operation Manual

Gearbox Type: HW10, HW19710, HW19710T, HW13710, HW15710, HW18710

For all truck gear shifting, stepping on clutch twice. For example, firstly step on clutch to bottom, then move gear from 1st to Neutral, loose clutch; secondly step on clutch to bottom again, then move gear from Neutral to 2nd.
When shift from the low gear range to high gear range (5th gear to 6th gear), firstly switch the valve on lever from “L” to “H”, then step on clutch, move gear to Neutral, release clutch, then step on clutch again, move to 6th gear. Do not perform the gear-jumping operation in low and high range shifting, like from 4th gear to 6th, or 7th to 5th gear, otherwise it will damage deputy box synchronizer. The deputy box only switch to the range selected when the gear is at Neutral.
When the vehicle speed is higher than 30km/h, do not shift from high to low range gears.

In this gearbox type, there are two Neutral positions available. To select the range, the lever can be moved either to the left or right. The double H mechanism is designed to shift the gear range from 1-4 to 5-8, providing versatility in gear selection and operation.
Each gear in the gearbox is associated with two conditions known as low and high, indicated by labels like 1H and 1L. When the lever is positioned at the 1st gear and the air switch is set to “H”, the gear engaged is identified as 1H. Conversely, when the switch is adjusted to “L”, the corresponding gear condition is referred to as 1L. This dual-condition system allows for flexibility and precise control over gear selection based on driving conditions and requirements.

Condition 1# When starting the vehicle, N to 1L, sequence is as below:

The lever is at Neutral on left position, air switch is at Low. Step on clutch to bottom, move lever to 1st gear, release clutch (sinotruk parts).

Condition 2# When moving gears up, from 1L to 1H, sequence is as below:

Move air switch on lever from L to H, then step on clutch to bottom, then release clutch. Now it is 1H.

Condition 3# When from 1H to 2L, sequence is as below:

Move air switch from H to L, then step on clutch to bottom, then gear to 2th gear position, now it is 2L.

Condition 4# When moving to upper range, from 4H to 5L, sequence is as below:

Firstly move air switch from H to L, secondly step on clutch to bottom, move lever from 4th to Neutral Left, slide it right side to Neutral Right position, release clutch. Thirdly step on clutch to bottom again, move lever to 5th gear ,release clutch.

3.When the vehicle speed is higher than 30km/h, do not shift from high to low range gears.
