Because LNG engine has more ignition system and fuel premixing system than diesel engine, LNG engine will be relatively complex during daily maintenance of lng heavy truck.

The first thing to note is that special engine oil must be used for the maintenance of LNG engine.

Because the temperature of LNG engine is high during operation, special high temperature resistant engine oil is required. In addition, LNG engines have high requirements for sulfate ash content, detergent dispersant ratio, corrosion resistance, oxidation resistance and so on.

If you don’t pay attention to the maintenance and still choose the engine oil at will like the maintenance of diesel engine, it is easy to cause oxidation and carbon deposition in the engine combustion chamber due to high temperature, resulting in increased emission of harmful substances of lng heavy truck.

In addition, the high ash additives of ordinary engine oil can easily form hard deposits on the surface of engine parts, resulting in abnormal engine wear, spark plug blockage or valve carbon deposition, which will lead to engine detonation, valve fire or ignition loss, resulting in engine power decline, unstable power and even shorten the service life of the engine.

Parts Shall Be Maintained Carefully And Regularly

  • In addition to using special engine oil, LNG heavy truck also has the corresponding best maintenance mileage interval in the maintenance of some other parts.
  • For example, when the vehicle travels about 3000 kilometers, it needs to carry out sewage discharge. The sewage discharge valve must be opened after the system pressure is released until the liquid runs out.
  • The filter element can be replaced every 10000 km or when the oil is changed. Before replacement, the pipeline pressure needs to be relieved.
  • Every 40000 to 50000 km or 600 to 800 hours, the valve core and valve port of the high-pressure solenoid valve need to be cleaned.
  • The air leakage of the high-pressure pressure reducer shall be checked every 50000 km, the air inlet filter element of the reducer shall be checked every 100000 km, and the state of the primary and secondary pressure regulating membranes of the reducer shall be checked every 200000 km. It is best to directly replace the new diaphragm.
  • The inspection intervals and contents of solenoid valve pressure reducer and LNG system pressurizer are basically the same as those of high-pressure pressure pressure reducer.
  • In addition, it is important to remember that there is a risk of pipeline burst during LNG heating and gasification. In addition, LNG is stored under high pressure. Therefore, before maintenance, pay attention to close the gas supply pipeline, discharge the LNG in the pipeline and relieve the pressure.

There Are Many Kinds Of "Air Leakage", So It'S Important To Distinguish Them

  1. In addition to thinking that the maintenance of LNG heavy truck is too complex, the phenomenon of “gas leakage” of LNG cylinder has also been criticized by card friends.
  2. Due to its own characteristics, LNG will undergo gasification even in normal temperature environment. Gasification is carried out at any time, but during normal operation of the vehicle, the gasified LNG will directly enter the engine for combustion.
  3. However, if the LNG heavy truck is parked for a long time, the pressure in the cylinder will rise during LNG gasification. When it reaches a certain degree, in order to ensure safety, the cylinder safety valve will automatically jump up for exhaust to release the pressure, which is what card friends call “air leakage”.

  6. Of course, there is also the possibility of “air leakage” in LNG cylinders. The general phenomenon is frosting or condensate formation. However, card users should also pay attention to distinguish. Not all frosting and condensation phenomena represent gas leakage in gas cylinders or gas circuits.
  7. In fact, “sweating” or “frosting” of the cylinder head during normal operation is a normal phenomenon. The “sweating” or “frosting” of the cylinder shell is not because of air leakage, it may be because the vacuum in the cylinder is damaged, or it may be simply because the external ambient temperature is too low or the humidity is too high.
  8. However, if there is “sweating” or “frosting” in the cylinder pipeline, this situation is mostly due to gas leakage in the pipeline, which should be repaired immediately.
  9. On the whole, the maintenance of LNG heavy truck, especially the engine maintenance, is very different from that of traditional fuel vehicles. However, as long as professional maintenance stations are selected, ideal maintenance intervals are followed as much as possible, and special engine oil and other maintenance products are used to ensure that the engine performance can be brought into full play to the optimal level, the use of LNG heavy truck is still very safe and reliable.
