Several Reasons For Clutch Slip Have Attracted The Attention

A friend asked us a few days ago, saying that the clutch slip is serious. What’s the problem? After understanding, this friend’s car is heavy truck A7, and the clutch form is also a pull control structure. After helping the user analyze, it is found that his car is a common cause. After the release bearing is abnormally damaged, the bearing steel ball falls between the cover and the diaphragm spring, resulting in poor slip and separation.

Several Reasons For Clutch Slip Have Attracted The Attention Of Card Friends
  • The causes of clutch slip can be roughly divided into three categories

Cause Of The Cover Assembly Of Clutch Slip

The insufficient working pressing force of the cover assembly of the clutch slip

  • The normal use does not reach the specified mileage, the attenuation of the pressing force of the cover assembly is out of tolerance, and the pressure plate is overheated, burned, or deformed due to improper operations such as overloading, vehicle sinking, and continuous starting for many times

The working surface of the pressure plate is contaminated with oil

  1. Before loading, the oil stain on the working surface of the pressure plate was not carefully cleaned off the clutch slip
  2. The rear oil seal of the engine crankshaft or the first shaft of the transmission leaks oil
  3. Excessive grease is applied to the spline or bearing sleeve of the first shaft

Foreign matters are caught between the cover and the diaphragm spring of the clutch slip

  • After the release bearing is abnormally damaged, the bearing steel ball falls between the cover and the diaphragm spring, resulting in slipping, shaking, or poor separation.
  • Before installation, foreign matters in the housing were not cleaned to enter between the cover and the diaphragm spring, resulting in slipping, shaking, or poor separation.
  • The improper operation causes the clutch to burn so that the friction plate of the driven plate assembly falls off and enters between the cover and the diaphragm of the clutch slip.
  • The dust cover on the flywheel housing was not installed, resulting in foreign matters entering the housing and stuck between the cover and the diaphragm spring.

Cause Of Driven Plate Assembly Of Clutch Slip

  1. The friction plate is contaminated with oil
  2. The friction plate is worn so that the rivets are not replaced in time
  3. The friction plate is burnt or broken

Reasons For Matching The Cover Assembly With The Driven Plate Assembly

  1.  Mismatch caused by using driven plate assembly from other manufacturers of clutch slip
  2.  Mismatch caused by the use of cover assembly or driven plate assembly with improper specifications (including parameters)
  3.  The control system is not fully reset, causing the clutch to be in a semi-disengaged state and causing a slip

First, check whether the master cylinder and pipeline are unobstructed. If they are unobstructed, adjust them first. If the fault is still not eliminated, then disassemble and inspect the clutch. What needs to be explained here is to check and adjust the clearance between the push rod of the transmission cylinder and the piston:

  • During adjustment, gently push the pedal by hand, feel the push rod of the transmission cylinder push against the piston of the transmission cylinder, and adjust the height of the limit bolt, so that the gap between the limit bolt and the clutch pedal is about 0.5mm.
  • Then tighten the nut at the limit support to ensure that there is a gap of 0.5mm-1mm between the push rod and the piston, which should not exceed 1mm, otherwise the effective stroke of the transmission cylinder will be reduced.
